Chhota Rajan hale and hearty, does not require dialysis, say docs

A team of specialized doctors including a nephrologist has given their verdict on gangster Chhota Rajan's health. And the verdict is that Rajan is both mentally and physically fit.

The gangster, who is in the custody of the Central Bureau of Investigation custody and organised crime unit of the investigating agency has been cooperating with investigations.


Doctors said that Rajan was in good health and does not suffer from any major ailment. The Indian Express had reported that the Arthur Road jail in Mumbai has asked for a dialysis machine as the gangster has two failed kidneys. However, doctors who examined him today, say Rajan does not require dialysis.

After being on the run for the past 27 years, Rajan was brought to New Delhi early morning from Indonesia by a joint team headed by CBI officials for facing trial in various criminal cases registered against him in Delhi and Mumbai.
