Ahead of Chhota Rajan's arrival in India, Maharashtra Additional Home Secretary KP Bakshi has said that the investigation in Rajan's cases will be carried out by the Central Bureau of Investigation.

"The government has decided to hand over the investigation to the CBI. The entire case related to Chhota Rajan will be handled by CBI and the state government will offer them all the help. If the CBI decides to have the interrogation in Delhi, it will be Delhi. If it is Mumbai, we are prepared," Bakshi said at a press conference on Thursday.

He further added, "Case is being handed over to the CBI because of its expertise in handling trans-national crimes."
