PM Modi takes up issue of Indian's killing with Nepal

OPrime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to his Nepalese counterpart K P Oli on Monday to evince India's "deeply concern" at reports of firing in Nepal's Birgunj in which an innocent Indian was also killed. 

Meanwhile, India has summoned Nepalese Ambassador Deep Kumar Upadhyaya in order to raise concerns over the incident

According to reports PM Modi asked PM Oli to urge Nepalese leaders to work towards ensuring an early and effective solution to the Madheshi crisis.

A 19-year-old Indian was killed as Nepal police opened fire on people demonstrating against the new Constitution near the India-Nepal border, hours after security forces baton-charged Madhesi protesters and evicted them from a key bridge in the area in a pre-dawn swoop.
