Three days after India announced a credit line of $1 billion to Mongolia to expand its economic capacity and infrastructure, Shiv Sena took a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi through its mouthpiece Saamana

At a time when Maharashtra farmers are committing suicide due to unseasonal rains and hailstorm, the prime minister is giving away such a huge amount to Mongolia, the Sena said. "If the huge amount pledged by the PM is converted into the Indian rupee, the amount would only aggravate the pain of the farmers in Maharashtra," it said.

"Hailstorm or drought-hit farmers in Maharashtra are still waiting to receive help from the government. Turns out people in Mongolia are luckier than those in Maharashtra," it added.
