Author Ruskin Bond turns 81 on Tuesday and bookstores and admirers are eagerly waiting for the release of a special collection of his stories, timed to coincide with his birthday.

From English teachers to publishers, all agree that despite reading habits taking a hit, Bond is an evergreen favourite among children and adults alike.
