Std XI boy arrested for putting up Facebook post in Azam Khan's name

The Uttar Pradesh police have arrested a Std XI student, believed to be a minor, for uploading a fake comment on Facebook, attributed to senior Samajwadi Party leader and the state's Urban Development Minister Azam Khan.

A student of a reputed school in Bareilly district, the boy was booked by the Rampur police, following a complaint by Azam Khan's aide Fasahat Ali Khan on March 15.

Later, in a court which sent the student to 14 days in judicial remand, his family members said that he had merely shared the post on Facebook and not uploaded it, The Times of India reported.
