Law minister demands CBI probe in death of IAS officer

Union Law Minister Sadananda Gowda has demanded a CBI probe in the death of 36-year-old IAS officer DK Ravikumar, who took on the sand mafia.

The Karnataka government must refer the matter to the CBI. I will apprise Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh. D K Ravi's death case has created suspicion in minds of people. They feel the CM and state government cannot conduct a free and fair investigation."

Earlier, Karnataka CM K Siddaramaiah had rejected the opposition's demand for a CBI probe in the case.
