Why did the AIADMK see-saw support for the govt bills

PM Narendra Modi called AIADMK chief J Jayalalitha yesterday seeking support on major bills to be passed in Parliament.

Narrating the sequence of events in Central Hall of Parliament today, a senior BJP leader who is a Union Minister said there were see-saws in the stand the AIADMK took in Parliament.

First, the AIADMK opposed the Land Bill in the Lok Sabha yesterday. The AIADMK also wanted the BJP to withdraw support to the Mufti government and order fresh polls in J&K.

But in the evening, AIADMK MPs received instructions from Poes Garden to vote with the government.

All's well that ends well.
