BJP chief summons J&K deputy CM over Masarat Alam release

Jammu and Kashmir deputy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh summoned by BJP chief Amit Shah amid row over separatist Masarat Alam's release.

The release of the separatist by PDP chief and J&K CM Mufti Mohammed Sayeed has caused tremendous friction between the two parties that are running a coalition government in the state.

The row found its way into the parliament where both Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Prime Minister Narendra Modi rendered explanations regarding the issue.
