Centre asks CBI to probe Teesta Setalvad's company

The government has asked the Central Bureau of Invgestigation to investigate activist Teesta Setalvad's organisation, who has been accused of embezzling funds meant for Gujarat riot victims.

The Home ministry has ordered the agency to freeze the accounts of Teesta company. The CBI has also been asked to investigate the transfer of funds from US-based Ford Foundation to Ms Setalvad's company Sabrang.
