External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj just announced that India will be offering a Rs 10,000 crore package to Nepal for post quake reconstruction. At the International Conference on Nepal's Reconstruction, Sushma said, "PM Modi personally led our response for relief and rescue. Nepal has good wishes of many friends. India stands ready to help Nepal."

In April, a 7.8 magnitude quake struck Nepal, killing more than 8,000 people and injuring more than 20,000. It was the worst natural disaster to strike Nepal since the 1934 NepalBihar earthquake.
