Home minister and senior BJP leader Rajnath Singh said today that External Affairs minister Sushma Swaraj and Rajasthan CM Vasundhara Raje Scindia will not resign. He tartly said that "this was the NDA government and not the UPA government", alluding to the resignations of scam-tainted ministers in the earlier government.


It may be recalled A Raja, Kanimozhi, and Suresh Kalmadi ended up in jail; former Maharashtra CM Ashok Chavan, and union ministers like Dayanidhi Maran, and Bansal and Kumar were forced to quit.


Raje and Sushma Swaraj have been tainted in what is now being called Lalit-gate. Swaraj and Raje have been facing flak for helping former IPL chief Lalit Modi procure travel documents in the U.K, a country which he has made his home to avoid legal processes in India.
