Vasundhara Raje supported Lalit Modi's immigration plea in 2011

After External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje is now in trouble in the Lalit Modi visa row. In a new twist to the controversy, Raje had in August 2011 backed the former IPL chief's UK immigration application on the condition that her support was not made known to Indian authorities.

Vasundhara's witness statement said that the letter was part of the documents that were mailed to news channels on Monday night by a PR firm engaged by Lalit Modi's lawyer Mehmood Abdi, reports The Times of India.
