Cong questions timing of AAP minister's arrest
June 09, 2015  12:41
Delhi deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia has refused to answer any questions on the arrest of Law Minister Jitendra Singh Tomar. The party however, has accused the BJP, especially the PMO for giving midnight orders to arrest Tomar. In fact, Sisodia was at FICCI when the news of Tomar's arrest was conveyed to him, but he refused to react to it.

Sources tell us that Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal wants suspended BJP MP and Supreme Court lawyer Ram Jethmalani to fight Tomar's case and get him bail in the event he is jailed.

The Congress has also stepped in and demanded that the law minister must vacate his portfolio and that Kejriwal should dismiss Tomar from the ministry after this arrest.

Sources tell us that the Delhi law minister's arrest was so timed that the Congress Chief Ministers meeting organised by Rahul Gandhi is eclipsed in terms of news bytes. The Congress, we hear, is aware of this, and has has accused the BJP of hijacking the media and diverting attention from the CM meet.

But when does Rahul Gandhi get media coverage?
