"I respect women a lot, unlike the driver who was jailed for raping a woman in his cab around six months ago. He did a detestable thing and he was an obnoxious man," Uber cabbie Vinod allegedly told his 21-year-old passenger while driving her to Gurgaon from Subhash Nagar on Saturday night. Vinod then allegedly kissed his passenger's hand and tried to kiss her against her wishes a little while later.

Vinod, who has been booked under Section 354 A (molestation) of the IPC, was granted bail on Tuesday. The accused in a brief statement to the media claimed he was being framed since the victim had misunderstood his "modern" see-off and raised a hue and cry.
