Key witness in Asaram molestation case shot at

The main witness in self-styled godman Asaram's molestation case was shot by two unidentified men in Shahjahanpur last night.

The witness, Ram Kripal, was shot while he was on his way home from the market.

"Ram Kripal was shot and was immediately taken to the district hospital for primary treatment. From there he was referred to Bareilly. We are looking at the crime scene and investigating everything," said Bablu Kumar, Superintendent of Police, Shahjahanpur.

He assured that action will be taken against whoever is responsible for the crime.
