-- The time has come to rethink my 30-year association with the Congress party, it is not the Congress anymore which I had joined.

-- I come from a family that has Congress blood in its blood... from youth Congress days, its in my blood.

-- I am thankful to my party for whatever opportunities were given to me to serve the nation and the party. There has not even been a single blemish against my name during my time.
