Dr Jaishankar to take charge as Foreign Secretary of India today

Dr S Jaishankar, who was made the new Foreign Secretary last night in a sudden announcement, will take charge today. Former Foreign Secretary Sujatha Singh's services were curtailed last night 'with immediate effect. She had eight more months to serve.
