Chief of Army staff pays tribute and promises Col Rai's family that true to tradition, the army will always stand by the family. General Dalbir Singh hugs Col Rai's children and father and speaks to the family members.

The wreath laying ceremony is over and the colonel will be cremated shortly.

The body which was laid in state will now be taken to the funeral pyre.
