A Pakistan court will on Tuesday hear the governments appeal against the bail to Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi, the mastermind of the 2008 Mumbai attacks.

Pakistan's Supreme Court had on Monday formed a two-member bench to hear the detention case of Lakhvi.

The bench is headed by Justice Jawaad S Khawaja.

Earlier, the Interior Ministry challenged the Islamabad high court's  ecision to suspend the detention order of Lakhvi in the Supreme Court.

In December 2014, an anti-terrorism court granted bail to Lakhvi but the government moved to detain him under the Maintenance of Public Order.

The detention was overturned by the IHC.

Lakhvi is currently detained at the Adiala Prison in connection with an abduction case.
