BJP Parliamentary Party meet on the Land Acquisition Bill scheduled for 6 pm today.
In Parliament, battle lines are drawn as the Modi government will introduce the Land Acquisition Amendment Bill 2015 in the Lok Sabha today. The govt needs approval for changes brought in the law through an ordinance or emergency executive order.
Opposition parties, primarily the Congress and the TMC has said they will giving notice for the suspension of Question Hour in the Rajya Sabha today to discuss the land ordinance. The opposition says the ordinance is "anti-farmer". The Samajwadi Party and the Janata Dal (United) are also expected to join in the attack.
