Cong demands Land Bill debate in Rajya Sabha

The Narendra Modi government is likely to introduce the Land Acquisition Amendment Bill in Lok Sabha today.

It will replace the ordinance promulgated by the government in December last year, which had brought changes in the earlier bill passed in 2013 by the UPA government.

The Congress party has said it wants a debate on the bill in the Rajya Sabha. It wants the question hour suspended.
