Three IEDs recovered in Kashmir

Three Improvised Explosive Devices weighing 11 kg and other ammunition have been recovered by the Army from North Kashmir's Kupwara district.

A search party of the Army detected the three IEDs hidden in the hollow of a tree along with other war-like stores on the fringes of Gazrial forest in Trehgam area of Kupwara district, army officials said today.

Based on specific intelligence inputs, the troops of an Infantry Unit carried out a search operation in the forest area late last night, which resulted in the recovery of three IEDs -- two weighing five kgs each and one weighing one kg approximately.
