Explosives, including 100 detonators, seized near TN-Kerala border

Explosives, including gelatine sticks, were seized from a Coimbatore-bound passenger bus at Masinagudi near the on Tamil Nadu-Kerala border and one person was detained for interrogation, police said.

The seizure was made during a vehicle check following a tip off that explosives were being transported in the bus coming from Gundlupet in Karnataka.

The bus, which had 46 passengers on board, was taken to the Masinagudi police station and a thorough search yielded 100 detonators, 40 gelatine sticks and two meter of fuse wire, kept in a bag.
