Pakistan doesn't allow JuD chief Hafiz Saeed to hold rally in Punjab

The mastermind in the Mumbai 26/11 terror attacks, Hafiz Saeed has been denied permission to hold a rally in the Punjab province in Pakistan, sources have reported. The Pakistan government in January had reportedly frozen the Jamaat ud Dawa chief's financial assets in a step to prove that it was actively fighting terrorism.
In 2008, the United Nations said the JuD is a front for the terror group Lashkar-e-Taiba, which planned and executed the attack in Mumbai, which left 166 people dead. The US State Department declared the JuD a "foreign terrorist organisation" last year.
