Boris Johnson to consider radiation devices for London police

The London mayor will ask Scotland Yard to evaluate whether issuing radiation devices to police officers could help in the fight against terrorism in London.Boris Johnson was speaking after meeting New York Police Department commissioner Bill Bratton, who said the devices were useful when searching for weapons

Johnson said: "What we need to do is get a better understanding of the risks versus the investment, what I am thinking of doing is going back to the Met and trying to evaluate what the likelihood is of an attack of that kind."
