Bengaluru-Ernakulam express derails, many feared injured

Just IN: In a major accident, the Bengaluru-Ernakulam Intercity Express derailed near the Tamil Nadu-Karnataka border today.

The inter-city train derailed near Mulagondapalli around 7.35 am.

Many are feared injured in the accident. A train passenger said ten boxes, including two AC coaches, had derailed.

The cause of the derailment in not known at this point.

Seven ambulances from Tamil Nadu and 10 ambulances from Karnataka have been dispatched.
