The Aam Aadmi Party will not send invites to the leaders of any political parties or chief ministers of any state to attend Arvind Kejriwal's oath taking ceremony on Saturday.

The party said it had invited only to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, Union Urban Development Minister Venkaiah Naidu and seven MPs representing Delhi in the Lok Sabha for the ceremony at Ramlila Maidan.

"Although we have invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Urban Development Minister Venkaiah Naidu for the oath-taking ceremony, these ministers are from the Central government. The Delhi government wants cooperation from the Centre for smooth functioning. "Apart from it, we will not extend invites to any political party or chief ministers of any other state. The seven BJP MPs will be invited as per the protocol," said a senior AAP leader.
