BJP leader Shazia Ilmi today met party's chief ministerial nominee Kiran Bedi who faced a shocking defeat in the Delhi assembly polls in Krishna Nagar constituency.

"It is indeed a big loss. I came to meet Bedi. She is very accepting of the fact that we've lost. She is upbeat that good things will happen," she told reporters after the meeting.

She (Bedi) clearly says that the party supported her fully and got the backing of the top brass, she added.

Ilmi, a former Aam Aadmi Party leader, said that AAP's political message was very clear and hence contributed to their victory.

"The message that AAP wanted to give people, they indeed managed to take it home. Arvind Kejriwal has been campaigning for the past four months, their radio jingle playing for the past four months. They put up hoarding three months before. And their political message was very clear," she said.
