Marathon chanting of Hanuman Chalisa sets world record

A Guinness World Record was created for the largest gathering ever to attend the chanting of 'Hanuman Chalisa' held on Tenali-Burripalem, Road in Andhra Pradesh.  

About 1.30 lakh devotees led by Mysore seer Sri Ganapati Sachchidananda Swami set a world record by chanting the 'Hanuman Chalisa' for four hours.   

The spiritual event was organised by Sri Ganapathi Sachidanda Swamy of Sri Datta Peetham in Mysore. The event was supervised by representatives of the Guinness World Records.  

A certificate was handed over to Sri Ganapathi Sachchidananda Swami in the presence of Tamil Nadu governor K Rosaiah, local MLA Alapati Rajendra Prasad and MLC Nannapaneni Rajakumari.
