Sushma in Islamabad: Heart of Asia can't function if arteries are clogged

Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj addresses the Heart of Asia summit in Islamabad. Highlights.

-- The Heart of Asia cannot function if arteries are clogged.
-- Nothing can benefit Afghanistan more than full and direct overland access to Indias markets.
-- We underline Indias commitment to Afghanistan's stability and  development of Indias vision of Heart of Asia. We believe in interlinked trade, transit, energy & communication routes, with Afghanistan as an important hub. 
-- Nothing can benefit Afghanistan more than full and direct overland access to Indias markets. 
-- India is willing to receive Afghan trucks at Attari. We are willing to join Afghanistan-Pakistan Trade & Transit Agreement. India is working with Afghanistan & Iran to develop trilateral transit through development of the Chahbahar Port.

Sushma Swaraj acknowledged the role of Afghanistan president Ashraf Ghani & CEO Dr Abdullah in building on Prez Karzai's work for peaceful, democratic & inclusive governance.

She ends by inviting delegates to the 6th Ministerial of the HoA in India in 2016.

Will join hands with Pakistan and Afghanistan to promote trade and commerece.
