On the President's birthday, a special treat for kids

President Pranab Mukherjee will turn 80 on Friday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and vice president Hamid Ansari will quite naturally wish the president with bouquets, but there is something special planned for the day.

The president will launch a Children's Corner -- a special link to the President of India website -- similar to what the White House and the Buckhingam Palace have.

The president plans to have an interactive chat with children every week, especially on Teacher's Day on September 5 and Children's Day on November 14.

That apart, the president's birthday celebrations will be subdued since it's been barely four months since First Lady passed away.
