IPL's two new teams -- Pune, Rajkot -- announced

Just in: The Board of Control for Cricket in India on Tuesday announced two new teams for the next two editions of the Indian Premier League.

Sanjiv Goenka bought the Pune IPL team, while Intex Mobiles bagged the Rajkot team. The Pune team will replace the Chennai team, while the Rajkot team will replace the Jaipur team.

The sale of two new franchises and 50-plus players - including those from Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals took place in New Delhi in a unique auction process during the IPL governing council meeting.
