Widespread, heavy to very heavy rains: IMD

Weather update from L S Rathore, IMD DG: Next 48 hours, entire Tamil Nadu coast is going to receive fairly widespread rainfall with isolated heavy to very heavy rains. Rainfall is expected in southern coastal Andhra Pradesh districts like Chittoor and Nellore as well. After 48 hours, though there is reduction in intensity of rainfall, but rain will fall for the next 5-6 days.
