What lies ahead for Sonwal

Sarbananda Sonwal who will be projected as the BJP's chief ministerial candidate for Assam is expected to submit his resignation from the Union Council of ministers soon after the winter session of Parliament ends. This will also help Sonwal to tour the entire state before March 2016.

Another view prevailing is that since Sonwal was keen to take the South Asian Games to Guwahati which will be held in February 2016, he wants to continue till the games end.

Prime Minister Modi and Amit Shah will discuss this issue and arrive at a conclusion before the BJP National Executive meeting.
