Leading Republican presidential aspirant Donald Trump has pitched a new strategy on how to best combat the Islamic State -- kill their families.

"When you get these terrorists, you have to take out their families. They care about their lives, don't kid yourself," Trump told Fox News.

"We're fighting a very politically correct war," said the Republican presidential front-runner.Trump pointed to the fact that IS terrorists have used civilians as "shields" for his reasoning.

Calling the IS United States' 'number one threat', Trump joined the growing criticism of President Barack Obama for appearing to send the wrong message to Americans on IS."All he's worried about is climate change. He thinks climate change is something that's going to go kill us," the real estate mogul said, adding that, "It's not going to kill us at all."

Trump also said that if he would have been the US President he would not have gone to this week's Paris climate change conference at all.
