Navy chief Admiral RK Dhowan has a media briefing on the measures being taken in flood relief: "We are closely monitoring the situation in Tamil Nadu. We have carried out UAV survey of the flood affected area. In Chennai we have our ships, aircraft and personnel deployed for nearly a week. Our naval teams, Airavat, our tanker deployed there with helicopters, divers, distributing food packets.
