Cops lathicharge as Geelani supporters protest outside residence

Violence broke out at hardline separatist Syed Ali Shah Geelani's residence in Hyderpora after cops resorted to lathi charge and tear gas at protesters. Group of supporters gathered outside the leader's home after he was placed under detention yet again. The protests soon turned violent and cops had to resort to lathi charge to dispel the commotion. In the chaos, four of Geelani's supporters were injured.
