The reasons women dont join the police in India

The number of women in the ranks of India's police has risen significantly over the past decade. In 2014, there were more than 105,000 policewomen, or about 6 per cent of the total force, in India according to government figures. That's a higher proportion than in neighboring Pakistan (1 per cent) and Bangladesh (4.5 per cent ), but far behind levels in some Western countries.
