PM Narendra Modi lands at Abu Dhabi Presidential Airport to begin his 2-day visit in UAE

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has landed at Abu Dhabi Presidential Airport to commence his two-day state visit.

The prime minister was received by the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan at Abu Dhabi Presidential Airport. 

PM Modi will be the first Indian PM visiting UAE in over three decades. The last Indian prime minister to visit the nation was Indira Gandhi.

Upon his arrival the PM tweeted: 'Hello UAE. I am very optimistic about this visit. I am confident the outcomes of the visit will boost India-UAE ties'
