Massive explosion in China's Tianjin

Footage circulating online appears to show a massive explosion in China's northern Tianjin, the cause of which is not yet known.

Video of the blast shows people many kilometres away hit by a huge shockwave moments after the explosion.

Several nearby tower blocks are without power, according to the Chinese state broadcaster CCTV.

Tianjin is a major port and industrial area to the south-east of the Chinese capital, Beijing
