Just in: There has been heavy overnight shelling by Pakistani troops in the Poonch and Balakote sectors of Jammu and Kashmir. Indian forces retaliated as well.

Three Border Security Forces have been targeted.

Pakistan violated ceasefire 192 times along the international border in Jammu & Kashmir till July 26 this year, government told Lok Sabha yesterday, adding that measures have been put in place for "immediate and effective retaliation" to such provocations.
