Manipur Deputy Chief Minister Gaikhangam has called upon the people to come forward and fight together if the recent peace agreement between the Centre and National Socialist Council of Nagaland-IM group disturbed the territorial integrity of Manipur.

Demanding the details of the agreement reached on August 3, Gaikhangam who is also the president of Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee, told reporters that the peace agreement was made without consulting the neighbouring states of Nagaland "which was very doubtful and also against Indian federalism".
