2 aftershocks felt in Nepal

Two aftershocks of moderate magnitude jolted central Nepal today, almost 100 days after a devastating temblor killed about 9,000 people in the country.

However, no damage to life and property was reported.

A 4.3 magnitude aftershock was felt at 1.59 pm local time, with epicentre in Dolakha district, about 125 kilometres northeast of capital Kathmandu.

Another one of 4.1 magnitude occurred at 5.38 pm with epicentre in the same district.

A total of 366 aftershocks with 4 or more magnitude have been recorded since the 7.8-magnitude quake of April 25, according to Nepal's National Seismological Centre.

Nearly 9,000 people were killed and 22,000 injured in the devastating quake.
