Rape accused Asaram listed as a 'great saint' in Std III book

A Std III textbook in Jodhpur has a shocking chapter on moral science.
According to the textbook, rape accused self-styled god Asaram Bapu is a "great saint", reports The Indian Express.
On page 40 of the book Naya Ujala, Asaram Bapu is featured with Guru Nanak, Swami Vivekananda, Mother Teresa, Ramakrishna Paramhansa and Maharishi Dayanand. The book published by Delhi-based Gurukul Prakashan, claims to be based on NCERTs continuous and comprehensive evaluation guidelines, the report says.
At least 80 schools are following the curriculum. The education department has said that notices will be sent to these schools on Monday.
