CBI registers 8 more FIRs in Vyapam scam

CBI today registered eight more FIRs in connection with Vyapam scam, taking the number of cases filed in connection with alleged irregularities in the conduct of professional and academic examinations by Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board to 23 so far.

According to a CBI spokesperson here, the first case has been registered against 22 persons in connection with the alleged impersonation by certain persons in respect of five candidates during the Vyapam-conducted Pre-Medical Test (PMT) 2011, who went on to join a medical college at Rewa.
