We timed it and it was just short of 15 minutes.
Trinamool Congress MP Derek O'Brien was closeted in one-on-one meeting with Arun Jaitley at the union minister's office in Parliament House, which raised a number of eyebrows of various MPs who shall remain unnamed.
They blandly said they discussed the 'future'. In fact, the meeting would have gone on for much longer had it not been for Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu, who sort of interrupted the meeting.
So, then what was all that about? Is the BJP courting the Trinamool especially with the Land Bill and GST Bill still on hold?
Having won the civic elections, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee can now afford to keep poll politics at bay.
