U'khand sends 25 buses, officials to quake-hit Nepal

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat today said the state government has sent 25 buses and a team of officials to help in relief operations in earthquake-hit Nepal. 

Talking to media persons , Rawat said Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh had called him up seeking assistance to evacuate stranded tourists in affected areas bordering Uttarakhand. 

He said he has asked state Chief Secretary N Ravi Shankar to keep in touch with officials in Nepal on the rescue and relief efforts.
