In Delhi, the National crisis management committee (NCMC) meeting will take place at the Cabinet Secretariat at 11 am. Relief efforts in Nepal are intensifying after more than 3200 people were killed in the worst earthquake there in more than 80 years. Rescue missions and aid material have started arriving in the country, but the government has appealed for body bags, tents and water. Survivors have been sleeping outdoors braving the rain all through yesterday. Thankfully, the sun is up and shining on day 3. Markets are shut and very few shops are functional. There are long queues for provisions at whatever stores are open and even longer lines at petrol pumps.
