J&K govt orders probe into killing of youth in Budgam

The Jammu and Kashmir government has ordered a magisterial probe into the killing of the youth in Budgam district.

The order comes after cops admitted that they violated Standard Operating Procedure, which led to the death of a teenager in Narbal earlier in the day.

Regretting the killing of the youth, the police spokesman added that preliminary enquiry conducted in the matter indicates that the forces deployed have acted in violation of the laid down SOP.
